Mission Statement

When Jesus began his earthly ministry, there was a moment where he read from Isaiah 61 and announced the mission of his public ministry to the world. This mission is now our mission as Hope Community Church. Jesus, the Anointed One, is the head of the church and our leader in all things great and small.

Our mission is to "preach the Good News" of Christ to all peoples, but especially the poor in spirit, letting them know that Christ has paid a price for them and has a plan for them.

Our mission is an extension of Christ's mission, and it extends to all peoples, and especially to the brokenhearted and poor, both in life and in spirit. Christ's mission lead to the release and freedom of imprisoned people. Freedom from the captivity of sins such as alcohol, drugs and lust, as well as freedom from the nature of sin that seeks to keep us from abundant life.

Our mission brings light into the darkness, where prisoners of sin, prisoners of their own vices and hurts, and prisoners of their own feelings can be liberated. There is new life for all, through the Anointed One, Jesus Christ; that is the heartbeat of our mission.
