Jeff is the pastor of Hope Community Church in the Lawrenceburg/Frankfort Kentucky area. He has been a pastor since January 1986, and has served four Kentucky Baptist churches as pastor before planting Hope Community Church in August 1998. Jeff is a second generation pastor, therefore, a preacher's kid, his father Thurman Eaton pastored churches in Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, and Illinois. Jeff is married to the former Julie Winn of Campbellsville, Ky. Julie is a gifted vocalist and teacher. She is a school nurse, and a mentor to minister's wives. Jeff and Julie have two children: Andrew and Laura. Andrew is the Pastor of Commonwealth City Church in Lexington, KY. Laura currently serves as a pharmacist at UT Health Austin's LiveSTRONG Cancer Institute and serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oncology at Dell Medical School. The family suffered the loss of Laura's husband, Tom Cannon, to Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in August of 2017.
Jeff is a graduate of Taylor County High School in Campbellsville, Kentucky. His education includes a bachelor's degree in Business Administration at Campbellsville University; a Master of Divinity degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Doctor of Ministry from the Fuller Theological Seminary. He has served as an adjunct professor at Campbellsville University and as a doctoral supervisor at Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama.
Jeff encourages his congregation to serve where they live, work, and play by living out the HOPE Arrow. Jeff has an outdoor ministry called RevOutdoors. Through this ministry, he engages people who love the outdoors to experience Christ and His plan for their lives. Jeff speaks at wild game banquets, leads hunting seminars, and demonstrates the use of game calls. Jeff served as the 6th District Comissioner for Kentucky Fish and Wildlife. Jeff also serves as a Chaplin for the Anderson County Sheriff's Department and he is on the Board of Trustees for Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
